Accreditation Process Update: Enhanced Transparency in QA Reporting Process
Reminder: ASIC Accreditation Reports to be Published from January 2026
Following our comprehensive consultation with accredited institutions earlier this year, we will be implementing an important change to our accreditation process. From January 2026, we will begin publishing accreditation reports on our website within institutional directories. This applies to new institutions undergoing accreditation and existing institutions going through reaccreditation from this date onwards.
Benefits for Institutions
This initiative strengthens the reputation and credibility of our accredited institutions by:
- Demonstrating their commitment to quality and accountability
- Providing tangible evidence of their educational standards
- Differentiating them in an increasingly competitive marketplace
- Building greater trust with prospective students and parents
- Aligning with best practice across the UK, Europe, and increasingly internationally (reflecting growing recognition that transparency, rather than protective competitiveness, offers a genuine advantage in the international education market)
Benefits for the Sector
Publishing these reports enhances our collective reputation as an accrediting body by promoting transparency and enabling parents and students to make more informed decisions when selecting an educational institution. We recognise that it will take time for all institutions to have their reports visible online as they progress through their accreditation cycles. However, this measured approach ensures a fair and consistent rollout that supports all our accredited institutions.
We appreciate the valuable feedback provided during our consultation process and look forward to implementing this important step.
