“So as Christmas time approaches it’s hard to believe that we are not far from the end of 2017. The year has flown by, and what a busy year it has been for ASIC!
We have received an amazing 59 applications throughout 2017 so far, both from the UK and worldwide, with the promise of more to come. The number of countries ASIC are now involved with has also increased to 60 covering Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America.
ASIC are also involved with some exciting new projects within Saudi Arabia and the Middle East and more details of these will be released soon.
In September 2017, ASIC held its first international conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The two day conference, with an awards dinner held on the first night, was an outstanding success with 160 delegates from over 30 countries attending. During the event many partnerships were formed and friendships made, and we hope these continue to be fruitful for all involved.
As we look to 2018 things continue to build for ASIC and it’s accredited institutions and we will be announcing details of our next conference in 2018 shortly, so please keep checking back for more details.
On a personal note, I would like to thank all those who donated towards the Rose Education Foundation’s Hearing Aid Appeal for Sotpattana School for the Deaf – Thailand, and have helped to make a huge difference to the lives the children who have received their digital hearing aids.
ASIC have had a wonderful 10th anniversary year and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for helping to make 2017 a year to remember. We have been heartened, and humbled, by the drive, commitment and passion demonstrated by our institutions for providing quality education and pursuing international co-operation.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year!“
