ASIC and TMS: GDPR Seminar – 27th February 2018, London
Event details: https://www.asic.org.uk/gdpr-seminar.
As we are sure you are aware that from 25th May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be introduced. This is a major change that will affect not only organisations located within the EU but it will also apply to organisations located outside of the EU if they offer goods or services to, or monitor the behaviour of, EU individuals. This will apply to all of our institutions who process and hold personal data of EU individuals residing in the European Union, regardless of the company’s location.
Due to this change, almost all of our institutions within the EU will require changes to their current systems and processes.
ASIC has partnered with Trinity Management Systems (TMS) to deliver a seminar which will cover the 12 areas that our institutions will need to focus on and which include:
- Raising GDPR Awareness,
- Making institutions aware of what they need to have in place,
- Explaining what is meant by ‘Privacy by Design’,
- Explaining the role of the Data Protection Officer,
- How institutions can be compliant with the new GDPR regulation.
It is also important to point out that, from 25th May 2018, the GDPR will be encompassed within the ASIC inspection framework.
In order to guarantee your place at the seminar and to make sure that you are compliant for the 25th May 2018, please register by clicking the following link and booking your tickets: https://www.asic.org.uk/gdpr-seminar.
